Adventures with ALICE: Shakedown Cruise 04

Alice made a spectacular break for the open sea on May 13. Even with a 2:00pm departure from Salem, she was soon smashing along at hull speed (over 8 knots) across Massachusetts Bay in perfect conditions, lifted by a quartering 5-6 foot swell, and made Plymouth before dark. Mil Kime and Will Cummer enjoying the ride.

She really needed some fresh air.

The crowd hasn't arrived yet, so we took mooring #1

.

What a pleasure it was to wash off the work dust and show off her new mainsail and freshly painted spars. Amazingly after all the winter projects and disconnected wiring, most everything worked perfectly.
